Scope and Content Notes

Accession 2002:040 consists of a group photo of the members of the OSU Student Foundation. The members are identified.

Accession 2006:043 contains images taken and collected by the OSU Foundation that were used in a 1999 publication on endowed positions at OSU. Depicting OSU alumni and faculty, these images include portrait shots of Jim Myers, Floyd Bodyfelt, Jim Bernau, Reub Long, Dan Edge, Paul Berger, Robert Mace, Harold and Leona Rice, Glenn Harvey and Walther Ott.

Accession 2008:046 includes photographs that document the planning, construction, and dedication of the Trysting Tree Golf Course. Primarily depicting the construction of the course, these images also show the property before its development as a course, the dedication of the course, and a meeting of the Golf Course Executive Committee. Among those featured in the shots of the dedication are OSU President John Byrne and alumnus Nat Giustina. Also included in this accession are photographs that document parties held at the OSU Foundation for staff member Louise Ruhl and the OSU Fund.

Accession 2009:031 is made up of photographs collected by the OSU Foundation that document the Trysting Tree Golf Course and alumni Bill Tomsheck and Cappi Brown. The images of the golf course primarily depict its construction and 1988 dedication. Among these images are two display panels featuring five views of the dedication ceremony. The images are mounted onto boards that include caption information. The images of Tomsheck and Brown are portrait shots. Photographs of unidentified people visiting the wreck of the Peter Iredale near Astoria on the Oregon Coast were also found. Their connection to Tomsheck and Brown is not specified.

Accession 2010:088 contains photographs documenting OSU faculty and research projects that were collected and taken by the OSU Foundation for the "Foursight" fundraising campaign that kicked off in 1984. The research and faculty reflected in these images primarily pertain to the four fields (gene research and biotechnology; advanced materials research; marine studies; and humanities) that the OSU Foundation sought to support with this campaign. There are also images of the OSU Library, archaeological fieldwork, the Wecoma research vessel, and classroom scenes. Among the faculty featured in these images are: Jack Dymond, Sharon Wallace, Paul Farber, Harold Evans, Sally Hacker, William Robbins, Arthur Chen, Larry Small, Bill Quinn, Dennis Hruby, William Appleman Williams, and Jo-Ann Leong.
