The Ernest Newsted Papers consists of materials collected by Ernest Newsted (1909-2001), logging superintendent with Brooks-Scanlon in Bend, Oregon from the 1950s to the 1970s. In his role, he managed logging operations, including evaluating the quality of timber, creating tree harvesting plans, and researching logging equipment purchases.

Statement on Access: Collection is open for research.
Statement on Description: Several of the maps were encapsulated at the time this finding was prepared in 2017.   There are about 35 additional maps in the collection that would benefit from encapsulation.  The folders that include these items are noted on a list in the central file.
