Biographical / Historical Notes

From 1950 until his retirement in 1982, Jim Johnson was a forest products researcher with the Oregon Forest Products Laboratory and the Forest Research Laboratory, specializing in timber mechanics and timber engineering research. He earned his BS in engineering from the University of Idaho in 1949 and his MS in forest engineering and wood utilization from Oregon State College in 1950.
