Scope and Content Note

Accession 2002:105 consists of records generated and collected by OSU President Paul Risser documenting his involvement in various professional organizations, advisory boards, and committees as an ecology researcher and policy analyst. Among the administrative bodies represented in these records include the Ecological Society of America, Committee on Research and Peer Review in EPA, the Scientific Committee on the Problems of the Environment (SCOPE), and the Oregon State of the Environment Report Science Panel. In addition to reprints of journal articles authored by Risser, this accession includes: correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs, publications, reports, and research data. The bulk of these records date during Risser's presidency of Miami University.

Accession 2003:024 consists of records generated by the Willamette Restoration Initiative that were collected by Paul Risser. Included among these records are correspondence, meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, publications, and reports.

Accession 2003:092 consists of materials generated and collected by OSU president and Ecologist Paul Risser and includes article reprints, correspondence, newspaper clippings, notes, publications, and reports. These records pertain to Risser's work as an Ecologist and document his interaction with the scientific community in the peer review of manuscripts for publication and participation on various committees and projects such as the Oregon State of the Environment Report (SOER). Among the organizations represented in these records include: the National Research Council, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Ecological Society of America, and the International Council for Scientific Unions.
