The William H. Quinn Papers document Quinn's research on the El Niño phenomenon as a research faculty member in physical oceanography at Oregon State University. Quinn earned his Ph.D. from Oregon State University in 1968 and was a member of the research faculty from 1967 until his retirement in 1981.
