Obo Addy Legacy Project Collection, 1970-2013

The Obo Addy Legacy Project Collection consists of records, promotional materials, and various forms of media related to the Homowo African Arts and Cultures organization. Obo Addy's personal materials include correspondence, promotional materials, and photographs. Obo Addy, a master drummer at the age of six, established the Homowo African Arts and Cultures organization with his wife and manager Susan Addy as a way to celebrate and preserve the traditional music of Ghana and Africa. The organization was established in 1986 and is currently active with community outreach and concerts.

James E. Oldfield Papers

James E. Oldfield Papers, 1951-2010

The James E. Oldfield Papers document Oldfield's research and professional activities in animal nutrition, especially the role of selenium in eliminating white muscle disease in sheep and other ruminants. Oldfield completed his doctorate at Oregon State College in 1951 and joined the faculty upon completion of his degree. He retired in 1985.

Geraldine I. Olson Papers, 1992-2000

The Geraldine I. Olson Papers document Olson's teaching, research, and international activities as a home economics faculty member at Oregon State University. Olson joined the Oregon State University School of Home Economics in 1975 as head of the Home Management Department. Olson served as a faculty member at Oregon State until her retirement in 2000.

The Omicron Nu Records reflect the administration of the Lambda Chapter of the Omicron Nu (and, from 1990 on, Kappa Omicron Nu) Honorary Society. They include an account ledger, constitutions/bylaws, correspondence, a guestbook, handbooks, meeting minutes, membership cards, newspaper clippings, photographs, publications, reports and scrapbooks. The collection also includes images generated by the Oregon Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Margaret Osler Papers

Margaret Osler Papers, 1912-2010

Margaret Osler (1942-2010) was a historian of science and philosophy who published widely on the scientific revolution and on the connection between religion and early science. In her two books and more than 125 articles, Osler focused in particular on the work of Pierre Gassendi, Robert Boyle and Isaac Newton. Osler was a member of the faculty at the University of Calgary for thirty-five years.
