Diploma with text: "This diploma certifies that the qualifications and present work
of Linus Carl Pauling, (National Roster Registration Number) 6-949-632, have been
evaluated by the Committee on Scientific Research Personnel of the War Manpower Commission,
and that he is a professionally qualified scientific research worker engaged in research
and development important to the conduct of the war for one or more of the agencies
represented on the Committee. In consideration of the importance of this work he has
been accorded a place on the Committee's Reserved List of Scientific and Technical
Personnel authorized by the Chairman of the War Manpower Commission."
