  • Letter from Hilde Villum Hansen to AHP, RE: WISP of Denmark is having a general election for their Parliament on September 22nd, and the question of MLF has been put on the agenda. The Danish government is not interested in being part of the MLF, but has not opposed its establishment in NATO. The Danish press has been alarmed by the nomination of Goldwater as the Republican Party's candidate for President of the United States. According to press reports, Hansen finds Goldwater to be just as lunatic and dangerous as Hitler was before coming to power. Therefore, WISP of Denmark is very interested to know what WSP of the U.S. is doing to prevent Goldwater from gathering followers and winning the election. WISP of Denmark cannot believe that Goldwater really represents the Republican Party and its voters, and hopes that every sane thinking American will do the utmost to prevent Goldwater from becoming able to start a fascist political movement.
