  • Letter from Charles J. Conrad to LP, RE: Conrad regrets the delay in answering LP's letter of July 12th, but he was attending the National Convention in San Francisco. Conrad sees no value in a continued exchange of letters, but is willing to debate LP on television. Conrad intends to make a further statement regarding LP's statements on chemical and biological warfare. He hopes to do this in a televised debate, so that LP would have the immediate opportunity of reply, but if LP will not agree to the debate, Conrad will have to make his statement through print media. • Letter from R.E. Lapp to LP RE: Lapp has just finished his draft of his book titled The Broken Dialogue which deals with the actions of socially conscious scientists to carry on a dialogue with the rest of society.  In chapter 4 Lapp discusses the community of scientists and asks if LP has analyzed the signers of his petition and broken them down into categories of scientists.  Lapp thinks that information would be valuable and useful for this chapter of the book.  [Letter from LP to Lapp July 22, 1964] [Filed under LP Correspondence: L: Individual Correspondence (Lacey-Lattimer): Box #212 Folder #212.11]
