Letter from Linus Pauling to Fred T. Wall. June 8, 1964Pauling writes to Wall regarding the issue of a possible appointment to the University of California, Berkeley staff. Pauling explains that, despite assurances that Chancellor Vernon Cheadle would submit a recommendation to the Board of Regents in support of his appointment, Cheadle refused to do so without further explanation.
