RE: In answer to LP's inquiry, DuBridge gives him an outline of what was decided by the Board of Trustees on 1, 29 J On this date, the Board decided to appoint a joint committee of Trustees and Faculty to oversee LP's case, and determine whether his appointment should be terminated. On 5 May 1952, they decided to take no punitive action against LP, and that they should continue to persuade LP to end his political activities, which have been subject to criticism.
