  • Letter from Frances A. Butler to LP, RE: Butler understands that LP recognizes the dangers of nuclear testing, and its aftermath of long-term radiation. She is writing to him in regard to her son, a victim of Bikini, 1946. After the bomb tests held at Bikini Atoll, her son was left on the contaminated island to keep it on the air. Since the testing, her son has experiences an increasingly serious condition, which she believes is directly related to the radiation.
