Letter from Linus Pauling to Arne Engström December 21, 1959Pauling informs Engström that he has found the thesis by Dr. Gunnar Swanbeck to be very interesting. In so doing, Pauling compares the structure of a bacterial flagellum in his possession to that of an ichthyotic keratin found by Dr. Swanbeck, and relates both to variations of the helix molecule.
