Letter from Linus Pauling to Günther Anders. October 1, 1959

Pauling updates Anders on the Fifth World Conference Against A and H Bombs. He describes the event as being very similar to the preceding ones, but does note incidents related to the Japanese Government, the Japan Council, and Rolf Schroers, a dissatisfied man who walked out of the conference. Pauling also conveys his opinion that China should be made a member nation of the United Nations, and that an international agreement should be instituted to keep China free of nuclear arms.  View Transcript
