    Mr. Norman Cousins, Editor

    SATURDAY REVIEW

    25 West 45th Street

    New York 36, New York

    Dear Mr. Cousins:

I send herewith a copy of the article by Karl Peters on "Problems of Atomic Armament". The copy was sent to me by Erica Anderson, and when it first arrived I did not recognize it as the article that Dr. Schweitzer had mentioned in his letter to me. You may have your copy, unrecognized, somewhere in your office.

I was pleased to see your last editorial. The world surely has changed during the past few months—and we are all indebted to you for your active part in the work.

    Sincerely yours.

    Linus Pauling:jh
