    25 November 1958

    Dear Mamma,

Thank you for your letter. It arrived the same day as a letter from Linus asking us to come and I guess we shall. We shall leave here perhaps the 11th December. If we go economy we must go via New York.

We are well. Thomas seems to have been rather upset by his hospital experience, that is he is not as good as he was and will not pee into or sit on the pot. I think he will recover though.

    His bed is 51"x28".

Hamleys have not rung me, but I shall go see them this week. I am sorry not to have gone along. It may be easier for me to bring the stuff.

I think it might be worth it to take the magazine AUDIO for awhile longer. That is, there are 2 or 3 useful articles a year in it.

Things are going quite well. I am getting quite a lot done.

It will be lovely to see Linda and her boys. They certainly look like fine little rascals. Thomas will have a high old time.

I put in a new style radiant plate in the stove to bring it up to 1930 standard, and we use our new stainless steel. It is wonderful.

Do you want a small Christmas list?

    What a crowd.

    love from Peter
