Letter from Linus Pauling to George R. Harrison. June 13, 1955

Pauling writes to give his opinion of the scientific work of Professor Richard Bear. He finds Bear’s published papers impressive and indicative of hard work. Pauling expresses his inability to say whether Bear is a self-starter because he has not had very close personal contact with him. Pauling summarizes that Bear appears to be suitable to do research in Pauling's deparment, and suggests an appointment to interview Bear.  View Transcript
