Dear Mamma and Daddy,

I was pleased to get your letter. Things are hopping.

We shall go to Copenhagen about the 3d and visit there while waiting for you. Will you get the Copenhagen - Stockholm tickets or shall I? If the latter, what plane are you on?

Will Crellin stay with us or is he going off to the East with you? We are considering going to Norway afterwards, and returning here in January.

The Embassy says that one usually wears tails at this function and anyway I have already ordered some from my tailor. Or at least my tailor on this occasion. Also my flannel suit is being made. Presumably I do not need to take the dinner jacket along. Perhaps it should be cleaned.

Linda wants a dress I think. Maybe we can go skiing in Norway.

Max is ill. I do not know what is wrong.

A nice old boy named Bodman, soils at Cal, just came around. We shall go to dinner. I want to invite Tess to dinner with us. Do you think I can?
