Letter from Linus Pauling to Henry Allen Moe. December 28, 1951

Pauling writes to thank Moe for the letter, Christmas card, and honorarium from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. He writes of his holiday with three of the children and several of Linda's friends from Reed College. He also describes a new study that he and Corey are beginning that looks at the possible crystallization of muscles after seeing x-ray results from Germany, Switzerland (Lotmar and Picken), and Bear. He noticed that all samples were from cold-blooded animals. He also decided to attend the Royal Society's Conference on Protein Structure after a Philosophical Society meeting. Afterwards, he and Ava Helen are taking a vacation and then attending the International Conference on Biochemistry being held in Paris in July.  View Transcript
