  • Letter from H. L. Holmes, Riker Laboratories, Inc., to LP RE: Thanks him for the letter regarding Dr. Stephen Brunauer. Stacie of the National Research Council of Ottawa because he may know of openings in Canada. [Letter from LP to Holmes, August 18, 1951] [Filed under LP Correspondence: (Brunauer, Stephen), #32.6]

Campbell, Severance Chemical Laboratory, Oberlin College, to LP RE: States that he will be eligible for a sabbatical leave next year and hopes to continue his work on x-ray diffraction with studies abroad. States that he will be applying for fellowships and asks if LP will be a reference. Discusses the work he hopes to do, a study of chromates and dichromates in solution and as crystals. States that a detailed account is included in the applications and says that he submitted their results to date to the JACS for publication. Handwritten note: “LP, Is he coming here?” [Letter from LP to Campbell, October 9, 1951] [Filed under LP Correspondence: (Campbell, J. A.), #57.7]
