Albert Noyes, Jr. Chairman, Division of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, National Research Council to LP RE: Explains that with the upcoming XII Congress of Pure and Applied Chemistry and the XVI Conference of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, both of which will be in New York in September of 1951, they are trying to invite a large number of international scientists. Desires to know if the Institute would be interested in inviting a foreign scientist for the summer or fall of 1951, or if the Institute even has lectureship funds available to be able to invite someone, thus helping in the goal of having a large international body at the conferences. Assures him that the NRC will coordinate invitations so that there are not requests for the same scientist from different universities or companies.
