Letter from Linus Pauling to E.C. Kleiderer, Eli Lilly and Co. March 23, 1950Pauling writes of the support he found for the proposed Laboratory of Medical Chemistry building and program at Caltech while in New York with Beadle. He is still worried about the funding, however. They have also decided to stop referring to the program as one of medical chemistry due to the use of the phrase in an alternate meaning that caused some confusion, choosing instead to refer to it as the joint program in chemistry and biology.
