Letter from assorted scientists (including Linus Pauling) to Members of the Senate Committee on Commerce and the Senate Committee on Military Affairs. November 13, 1945

Pauling, in combination with other researchers, proposes structuring the National Research Foundation with a board or commission as its governing body, in the place of a controlling director. Pauling and his fellow correspondents recommend passing of the Magnuson bill.  View Transcript
