Letter from Linus Pauling to James B. Conant. May 13, 1941

Pauling states that he is sending fifteen copies of the formal report titled “The Development and Construction of a Simple, Rugged, Light-Weight Instrument for Measuring and Indicating the Partial Pressure of Oxygen in a Mixture of Gases.” He notes the carbon paper, faulty mimeograph sheets, and original manuscript of the report have been burned. He reports that work with the apparatus is continuing to give satisfactory results, but progress is slow.  View Transcript
