Joseph Dolph Letters, 1895-1897

Scope and Content Note

The materials in this collection are dominated by the question of land rights dealing with the Northern Pacific Railroad Company and the Oregon and California Railroad Company. A great deal of the correspondence also mentions foreclosure problems suffered by the Oregon Improvement Company. The Montana and Idaho Short Line, the Red Bull Mining Company, the White Bull Mining Company, the Gold Mountain and Dry Gulch Consolidated Gold and Silver Mining Company, the Candelaria Fruit Company, the Eastern Oregon Land Company, and the Dalles Military Road were involved in suits that were handled by the law firm.
