The George H. Arscott Papers were generated and assembled by Arscott and document his poultry science research.  George H. Arscott earned a B.S. in Poultry Husbandry from Oregon State College in 1949 and was a faculty member in the Poultry Science Department at Oregon State from 1953 until his retirement in 1987.

Acquisition Note: The materials in the collection were donated to the University Archives and the Special Collection and Archives Research Center in several transfers from 2000 through 2014.  The photographs were likely received by the University Archives in the 1960s as a separate collection, the George H. Arscott Photograph Collection (P 124); in 2009, the photographs were incorporated into the Arscott Papers.
