Edward C. Allworth Papers, 1895-1966

Edward C. Allworth, 1925.  Allworth graduated in 1916 from Oregon Agricultural College with a degree in Commerce. Allworth was in the U.S. Army from 1917-1922 and received the Congressional Medal of Honor. Known as "The Major", Allworth served as manager of the Memorial Union Board of Governors for 38 years, 1925-1963.

MSS Allworth

This collections includes two scrapbooks prepared for Edward C. Allworth -- one commemorating 25 years of service (1954) and the other his retirement (1963). The scrapbooks includes letters and photographs from former Memorial Union Presidents and other officers. Other correspondence (primarily Christmas cards) from alumni are also included in the collection.
